Phil "Junior" Dolan, son of Vaudeville performers, is no stranger to the stage, but when he becomes wrapped up in a jealous love affair with the Russian ballet's prima ballerina, this jazz and tap infused musical takes a turn for the hilarious. This landmark musical, originally directed by George Abbot and choreographed by George Balanchine, is celebrated as the first of its kind to use dance to further the plot and features hit standards like "You Took Advantage of Me" and "Glad To Be Unhappy" and the famous jazz ballet "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue."
